Charley's
Steak House - Well known countrywide for great steaks. Not having
visited every steakhouse in Orlando, we would still give Charley's
the nod for some of the best steaks or grilled seafood in Central
Florida. What they offer is a hardwood grill, fine aged beef, fresh
seafood and a great chef. The hardwood they grill over is usually
a blend of citrus wood and oak as well as mesquite for the fresh seafood.
Highly recommended, nice atmosphere, good service. Located on the
Orange Blossom Trail just east of the Belz Factory Outlet Mall and
Festival Bay complex.
-
Roy's
Orlando - Fine dining. Near Universal, International Drive
and the Convention Center. Beautiful atmosphere, open fire grill.
Full service.

Ruth's
Chris Steak House - Having visited Ruth's Chris Steak House
on Sand Lake Road in Orlando in November of 2001 we would definitley
recommend this fine restaurant. Featuring great steaks, fresh seafood,
excellent service and atmosphere. Tucked quietly away in the "Fountains"
in the Dr. Phillips community on Sand Lake Road, Ruth's has valet
parking, a nicely stocked and posh bar or waiting area and lots
more. I liken this restaurant to Morton's of Chicago which is located
nearby, ala carte fare, excellent table service and well planned
menu. Beginning with the Ahi Tuna as an appetizer, (although the
broiled crab cakes are a delight) I settled on the ribeye steak.
The platters the steaks are on are VERY HOT.. evidently Ruth's Chris'
chefs place the steaks over 1800 degree heat - superbly done. Delightful
deserts and great after dinner coffees are yours to discover here
at one of the finer restaurants in Orlando. Check it out.

- Dining at Disney - Insider
tips:
- Chef Mickeys Is # 1,"Bomas"
at Animal
Kingdom Lodge is probably # 2. Both a "don't miss"dining
experience. "Cape May", is a great seafood Buffet, "The
Luau", don't miss it, real South Seas entertainment. It is one
of the two "beer buffets" that exist, [little unknown fact
about Disney World].
- The other one is the "Hoop-Dee-Do
Revue" , great southern fried chicken, ribs and corn on the cob.
Both the Luau and Hoop-dee, include unlimited beer and wine.
- "Mickeys Backyard
BBQ", at Fort
Wilderness too, it's ribs, chicken, b-b-q beans and corn on the
cob. A fun place to take the kids. There are many places to dinea at
Disney property, but the best kept secret is a little known buffet at
the Fort Wilderness camp grounds!
- A fun place for food at
Disney MGM. studios is "Prime Time", themed dining so you'll
be waited on by someone who is pretending to be your mother or father
or close relative, always scolding you about poor table manners etc.
Fun!
