Michael Moloney of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Bill Duggan of HGTV’s Curb Appeal Are Featured Guests

ORLANDO, FL (February 9, 2005) – Central Florida area homeowners can find millions of decorating ideas, building and remodeling solutions, and landscaping tips when the all-new, expanded Central Florida Home & Garden Show returns April 1-3 to Hall North B in the Orange County Convention Center’s new North/South Complex on International Drive. Like its sister event, the Orlando Home Show, the Central Florida Home & Garden Show is the region’s largest consumer home and garden showcase and promises to offer the best opportunity to shop, compare and save on every home improvement project. Show highlights include:

Michael Moloney of ABC’s hit reality TV show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and Bill Duggan of HGTV’s Curb Appeal, offering the latest advice and trends on home improvement, plus answer questions, meets with guests and signs autographs. Moloney appears on Friday and Duggan appears Friday-Sunday.

Expert advice and good eating tips at seminars and demonstrations on three Home & Garden Stages. Get the inside scoop from nationally-known antiques and collectibles “diva” Judith Katz-Schwartz and other entertaining experts.

Spectacular gardens spanning more than 5,000 square feet designed by six local landscaping companies.

Beautiful orchids and exotic plants will be on display and for sale in a special designated area on the show floor.

· The “House that Food Built,” located on the show floor, is a transparent plexiglass house waiting to be filled with food. Guests who bring non-perishable food items for Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida will receive $2 off admission (limit one discount per adult). Guests can also help the Coalition by bidding on “Celebrity Painted Pots,” a silent auction of plant holders that have been painted by professional athletes, entertainers, media personalities and government leaders. The pots will be on display adjacent to the “House That Food Built.”

Live radio broadcasts and meet-and-greet/autograph opportunities with the hosts of local home and gardening radio shows.

More than 500 exhibits with the industry’s latest products, plus giveaways, contests and much, much more.

Show hours are Friday, April 1, 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, April 3, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door, $8.00 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children ages 5 and under. Seniors are $5.00 on Friday only. Ample, convenient on-site parking is available adjacent to the new North/South Complex, and is discounted to $5 per car with a valid Florida driver’s license.
