Parrot Head Birthday Bash

PARROT HEADS OF CENTRAL FLORIDA PARTY WITH A PURPOSE

Group hosts A Pirate’s Parlay to benefit Easter Seals’ programs in Central Florida

Orlando, FL  (July 23, 2004) – The Parrot Heads of Central Florida hope to make a big splash with A Pirate’s Parlay, a September 25th event at SeaWorld to benefit Easter Seals Florida.   All proceeds will help Easter Seals provide more services to children and adults with disabilities in the Orlando area.

After 12 years of community service and a growing membership that now exceeds 300 “tropically inspired” members, the club decided to celebrate its own birthday by hosting the fundraiser on September 25th from noon to 8 p.m.  Don Tompkins, event chairman, said, “We anticipate attendance between 500 and 1,000 people which could make this one of Central Florida’s largest fundraisers this year!”

Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band as well as The Caribbean Chillers are both set to perform.  Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band tours Parrot Head events around the country including Meeting of the Minds, the annual Parrot Head convention in Key West.  The Caribbean Chillers is a local Jimmy Buffet tribute band.

Live and silent auctions, including packages based on Jimmy Buffet song titles, are planned for the day.  Award-winning professional auction company Society Benefits will put on the auction.

The admission price of $60 ($55 for children 3-12) will include a barbecue and access into Sea World Orlando.   For more information, please visit www.phcf.com
