Latin Cultures Come Alive During SeaWorld Orlando’s Viva La Musica

Orlando, Fla. (March 2005) – Hot music and spicy foods combine to create a vibrant Latin flare at SeaWorld Orlando during Viva La Musica, April 30 - May 1 and May 7 - 8. SeaWorld Adventure Park Orlando 2005 Calendar of Special Events

Orlando, Fla. (2005) -- SeaWorld Orlando's 2005 calendar of events features a diverse array of exciting festivities planned throughout the year -- from a lip smackin' barbecue to a lively celebration of Hispanic culture. JACK HANNA'S ANIMAL ADVENTURES
Feb. 5-6 and Nov. 12-13
Jack Hanna, renowned animal expert and host of TV's "Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures" and SeaWorld's "Shamu Adventure" show, showcases some of his furry and feathered exotic animal friends from all parts of the world. Hanna also shares amazing animal stories and hilarious bloopers during SeaWorld Orlando's popular Jack Hanna weekends.

BUD & BBQ FEST
All-American Country Festival
Feb. 26-27, March 5-6
SeaWorld Orlando is firing up the grill and turning up the music for two weekends of mouthwatering fun during the fifth-annual Bud & BBQ Fest. This all-American event features live performances by top country artists, bodacious barbecue from select U.S. regions, ice-cold Anheuser-Busch products and plenty of southern hospitality.

VIVA LA MUSICA
A Celebration of Hispanic Music, Food & Culture

Gaggles of goodies and safe Halloween fun await everyone with pint-sized, fiendish festivities at SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular. Friendly and fanciful costumed characters haunt the park as little goblins participate in ghostly activities and enjoy unique, Halloween-themed entertainment. Shrieks and giggles abound with trick-or-treating, bewitching shows and autumn harvest décor.

CHRISTMAS AT SEAWORLD
Nov. 25-Jan. 1, 2006
Create yuletide memories and celebrate the season during "Christmas at SeaWorld." This holiday event features festive decorations, live holiday music from classical musicians and carolers, and special yuletide presentations of the Shamu night show and the "Makahiki Luau."

NEW YEAR'S EVE AT SEAWORLD
Dec. 31
SeaWorld Orlando is throwing a big New Year's Eve party complete with live music and fireworks. Guests dance to the beat of a live DJ as the countdown to 2006 begins at The Waterfront at SeaWorld. At the stoke of midnight, a brilliant fireworks show will light up the SeaWorld sky.

WHO:
Angie Stone began singing gospel music at a young age. In 1999, her old-school, autobiographical vibe led her to the beginning of her solo career with the release of her debut album, "Black Diamond," which has sold more than 1.2 million copies worldwide. Stone has enjoyed success with her many hits, including "No More Rain (In This Cloud)," which spent 10 weeks at #1, "Wish I Didn't Miss You," "Brotha," and "Bottles & Cans." Recently, Angie appeared in the Tony Award winning musical "Chicago."

Macy Gray is known for her distinctive voice and funky style. Her debut album, "On How Life Is," was certified quadruple platinum within two years. Gray also won a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal thanks to her hit, "I Try." Other hits include "Sexual Revolution," "Why Didn't You Call Me," "Sweet Baby," and Gray's newest single "Walk This Way."

WHAT:
Mardi Gras at Universal Studios. Live music echoes through the park amidst the excitement of New Orleans-style cuisine, tons of beads, confetti and an all new 13-float parade, completely transforming the theme park into a mega- musical Mardi Gras celebration! Street performers, costumed characters and stilt walkers entertain partygoers throughout the entire event.

The Mardi Gras party continues Saturday nights through April 30.

ORLANDO, FL (February 9, 2005) – Central Florida area homeowners can find millions of decorating ideas, building and remodeling solutions, and landscaping tips when the all-new, expanded Central Florida Home & Garden Show returns April 1-3 to Hall North B in the Orange County Convention Center’s new North/South Complex on International Drive. Like its sister event, the Orlando Home Show, the Central Florida Home & Garden Show is the region’s largest consumer home and garden showcase and promises to offer the best opportunity to shop, compare and save on every home improvement project. Guest Carillonneur To Perform At Historic Bok Sanctuary

LAKE WALES, Fla.— Ulla Laage, guest carillonneur from Copenhagen, Denmark, will perform carillon recitals at Historic Bok Sanctuary in March.

“Laage is visiting the Sanctuary to compose and arrange music for carillon and to perform translation services,” said William DeTurk, Sanctuary carillonneur. “We’re thrilled to have this accomplished musician play recitals on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays during the next two weeks.” Visitors also will be treated to the azaleas in spring bloom.

The special recitals will be at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the following dates: Thursday, March 3; Friday, March 4; Monday, March 7; Thursday, March 10, and Friday, March 11. Laage also will perform one of her own compositions, Variations on “Built on the Rock the Church Doth Stand.” Other highlights of Laage’s performances will include works by Bach, Handel, Edwin Nielson and other composers.

Laage has been carillonneur of Our Saviour’s Church in Copenhagen since 1974 and has performed throughout Europe and the United States as well as at the International Carillon Festivals at the Sanctuary in 1986 and 1999. The artist has created arrangements and original compositions for carillon, recorded a CD of her church carillon, recorded for film and theater, and participated in television and radio programs.
