THE MALL AT MILLENIA ANNOUNCES SUMMER LINE-UP OF
PERFORMING ARTISTS AT FIRST FRIDAY

Concert Series Moves Indoors for Summer Months

ORLANDO, FL (June 16, 2005) – Central Floridians and visitors can cool off and enjoy great performances by some of the area’s most popular performing artists at THE MALL AT MILLENIA’s First Friday. The free concert series will take place inside at the Orangerie Cafés on July 1st, August 5th and September 2nd and run from 5-8 p.m. on the first Friday of each month. The line-up of performers scheduled to appear this summer include:

July 1- Vee/MagSax Project

Marc Vee started playing the guitar at the age of seven, received his formal training at the University of Miami, and has spent many years as a professional musician, producer and guitar teacher. Vee has produced several albums for pop, rock, and smooth jazz artists as well as two of his own CD’s. Johnny Magsax started playing the saxophone when he was in the fifth grade. He has toured overseas with the United States Army Band for two years playing for military and presidential dignitaries as well as many concert venues in Germany.

August 5 - Jazz Attack

Jazz Attack is comprised of a vocalist and a four-piece jazz ensemble consisting of piano, upright bass, horns drums. Their music plays tribute to the legendary songwriters throughout the history of jazz. Jennifer Wrobleski, the group’s vocalist, is gaining acclaim for her outstanding vocal talents, and was awarded “Georgia’s Best Young Vocalist” by the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

September 2 - Beautiful Bobby Blackmon

Bobby Blackmon is an excellent veteran entertainer who specializes in contemporary blues and classic R&B soul music. He sings and plays lead guitar, and his music makes you want to get up and dance. During his early musical career, Bobby Blockmon played in many house bands and worked as a sideman behind many blues and R&B artists such as Barbara Lynn, Jimmy Reed, ZZ Hill, Johnny Taylor, Lavelle White, Bobby & James Purify, Lou Rawls, Buddy Ace and Little Esther Phillips. He appears frequently with his band in the Orlando area and has a dedicated fan base. His live performances are gaining him a reputation as the "real deal" entertainer.

Admission is free to First Friday, presented during the summer months at THE MALL AT MILLENIA’s Orangerie Cafes. In addition to enjoying world-class performances, concert-goers can purchase food and drinks from California Pizza Kitchen, Johnny Rockets and Panera Bread, plus 12 eateries. Presented by Smooth Jazz 103.1 WLOQ, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club and Fountain Acura, the event will also feature informal modeling by Lisa Maile Image Modeling and Acting highlighting fashions from the Center’s leading retailers. Free parking is plentiful among more than 5,500 spaces around the Center.
